Ozone introduction
Ozone is produced when dry air or oxygen gas is passed over the
dielectric of an ozone generating module. The module is powered by
a high voltage/high frequency power board.
The electronic power board is designed for continuous operation.
The dielectric is housed within a finned heat sink block which is
air cooled by fan assisted atmospheric air.
CD Ozone technology
Ultraviolet VS Corona Discharge
• Ultraviolet (UV) ozone generators (185 nm wavelength):
- Produces ozone concentrations of .01% to .10% concentration by
weight.
• Corona discharge (CD)ozone generators (electrical discharge):
- Produces ozone concentrations of .5% to 6% concentration by
weight.
• What concentration means to ozone effectiveness
- Minimum 5 times greater concentration of ozone in the output gas
from CD ozone generators.
- At the same percentage of mass transfer efficiency, a CD ozone
generator will deliver more ozone to the water than UV (ozone
concentration directly affects its ability to become soluble in
water).
Brief introduction
This is a great design of the ozone cell, with very small size, but
very high ozone concentration. The high ozone concentration will
help you with power saving by less oxygen supply.
The Power supply is optimized for ozone applications. It is based
on Isolated Gate Bi-polar Transistor (IGBT) Technology and uses
Digital Processors to control the line current by using the
RealSine Power conversion technology.
With our optimized power supply design, it will further help you to
save power. Typical power consumption for 1Kg/hr ozone production
is 6-7Kwh.
